Default birel AD 130

I just bought a AD130 birel kart. new never used...i am looking for all the info i can get about this kart that i can. by looking at it it looks like a jr. kart maybe a cadet.it has a small axle. it has a jog in the frame rail on the back left side behind the seat and where the back bumper mounts. what was this kart designed for? would it be better for my eight yr old driver moving out of kid karts, or my 13 yr old driver with a yamaha super can?.. i think yamaha is too much for it..we mostly race asphalt sprint...are any seat positioning info available? what year??? can any one help me.....thanks racerdad

It has been used successfully in the Jr. Can class. Much depends on the tire you are using. The kart was most likely produced in 1997-2000. A basic set up is close to the R30 karts that are described under the "base line set up" section on the forum. Where is it you will be racing, perhaps we can direct you a dealer for the seat install.
