Thumbs up Jeff Myers Jr - 3 Wins at New Castle!

I got this in an email and wanted to share... congrats from everyone here at MRP to Jeff and his family on a job well done! Way to go guys!

"Hey Everyone...

We're JUST off the road - have a real quick report to share.....

Jeff Jr. had a career weekend at WKA Divisionals with the Great Lakes Sprint Series at New Castle, Indiana this weekend.... Check out these results: 3 Final Wins, 2 Poles and a 3rd!!

The first win came in a relief effort in the cadet class for injured racer Sarah Carmon who was unable to race the finals due to a broken arm at the Road America Nationals. Sarah was able to qualify, but per relief rules, Jeff would have to start last in an 18 kart field. In the pre-final, Jeff sliced through the field to finish 7th which is where he'd start the final. In the final, Jeff patiently worked his way up to the front and once he got the lead, didn't look back! Gotta tell you - it was fun to watch!

The next win was a long awaited win in HPV Sportsman with Adkins power helping to make it happen. We never seem to qualify well, but no matter - the kid can drive and found his way to the front.

The 3rd win came in Jeff's strongest class, Yamaha Sportsman Light. In fact, believe it or not - Jeff qualified on POLE for both Yamaha Light and Heavy classes Sunday! I can't remember how long it's been since he's had a divisional Pole - here he gets 2 in the space of an hour! But racing up front was really close - Jeff led, but not all the time. It took a last lap, last corner pass to get the final win. Race 4, Jeff was in EXACTLY the same position to take the win in the Yamaha Sportsman Heavy final, but tough racing put him back to 3rd...

3 out of 4 races Jeff competed he won.... WOW!!

Thanks PKT, MRP and all our friends and associate sponsors for your support. The Birel AR28 was awesome with Adkins power - we're hoping for a similar performance when we return to New Castle for the Show Hauler Nationals, Aug. 28 - 30.

Jeff Myers Sr.
