Hey how are you going to do 100 racers if you only have maybe 15 to 25 carts, are there going to be 4 award places or 2 or how is that going to work?

Just a curiosity question.

Weather report this am looks like partly cloudy and a high near 60. Should be a great day for a race!

I would like to thank the ENTIRE MRP team for holding an amazing and fun race day. It may of been cold and windy. which might be an understatement. But the competition and the Mrp team were always warm and friendly. Again thank you very much, and i Hope to do it again next year with even more people.

Also was wondering if we could see the lap times for that day for all the races?

Default Leaguers Do Well

Both Divisions were won by former league champions, and all the league regulars held their own.

Thanks to MRP for an awesome event. Congrats to all the winners and podium finishers, and those who accomplished any goals they were looking to reach. Thanks to the competitors for a tough fight in the heavy division. I hope to be there for the Spring event in 2009 to stand on the podium.

Another "Thank You" to the MRP Staff, the event was a lot of fun and very competitive. I also think things went pretty smoothly considering it was the first go-round for that particular event format!

How often is that particular track configuration used? My impression as a non-MRP Regular was that it was not a very common configuration - which was much appreciated as a potential field-leveling factor.

I also must say nice job on the equality of equipment - I don't get to race but 2 or 3 times a year, but my typical arrive-and-drive experience with other organizations has shown that there are usually 2 or 3 karts in the field with a clear advantage... but I was pleased to have driven 4 different karts on Sunday and find that 3 of them were pretty much on a par and the 4th was only two or three tenths down (for me, anyway - I felt it was a little twitchy on turn-in compared to the other 3. I'm sure someone else could have wrung more lap time out of it!). That is pretty much un-paralleled in my experience with other arrive-and-drives - great work!

I believe the karts were very equal as I stepped foot in at least 4 different karts and my laps were no more than 3 to 4 tenths off. I think I went the fastest in the final and you could easily contribute that to the weather or longer laps getting more heat in the tires and track.

Props to the heavy drivers for the faster laps Must be the extra weight for more grip from the tires

Maybe next year we end the event with the top 8 from light and heavy in a 'battle royale'

BTW, my kart pulled to the right, thus I would have been at least three tenths faster

David : thanks for your kind words, suggestions and follow up. I know that had you not been pointing your finger to the right front tire, that your straight line speed would have been faster! ha ha.

It was really great to have so many fine customers attend and enjoy the event. It was very impressive to see the results. We have picked up a few good pointers for next year and do intend to campaign a Spring event. Thank you all for your fine words and compliments to the staff who worked very hard to make this a good program.

We are attempting to up load the mylaps data and I am sure that Marc will announce when all of the data is in place.

Just in case it screws up my efforts to redeem the League session I won for P3 in the heavies ...there is a typo in my last name, it is "Vigus" not "Vargas!"

Sean-

You should be happy - It was spelled wrong on scoring, but a few days ago I submitted it to the Detroit Free Press with the CORRECT spelling.

BTW - "it's been fixed"

I must've had a nice jump on the heavy field. Looking at the fast lap times I have no idea how I was able to pull out the win. Maybe it was consistency? I hope to the entire race lap times too.

BTW my last name is Locsi.

On the spelling guys, I had to pull it out of the air, (trying to read the print on the sheets) but lucky for me Marc was able to get the right names. Congrats to our winners and all racers. Yes, Adam, you did pull it off and with great poise. It was very interesting to watch from the tower as Sean dogged you constantly, but the harder he tried ( you could not see this part) the harder he drove the corner.(creating a few mistakes) I remember early in the Spring when things didn't go so well for you Adam. Thanks for hanging in and making a return trip to the track. It was an excellent show. You are a winner and you have won a years worth of racing at MRP for 2009!

In terms of the famous David Cole: You make an excellent observation. I have often told customers that the big guy wins! The Rock karts are built tough and the big driver does have a chance to make the karts work in a real race environment. Our staff had a great time ( we had enough people that I didn't overwork any one person) and the customers were very up beat and positive. Thanks for your support David and I know you will be fit as a can be when Spring comes for a rematch.
