MICHIANA RACING BULLETIN - July 23, 2008

Congrats to those that competed at the Rotax Summer Shootout! Michiana racers invaded USA Raceway at Shawano, WI this past weekend. Our compliments to the entire group. The area drivers that competed this past weekend were well supported and the results showed! Visit www.ekartingnews.com to view the Birel race report to see how the local racers did.

More Double-Headers? Many customers have requested that we consider another double header weekend of racing. We will alter our schedule to accommodate the very favorable results of our July 5 and 6 races as the event was a big hit. Our next club race is scheduled for August 10th on track C. We will then introduce Track A and B on August 30 and 31st and eliminate the September 7th event. Why? With the strong Rotax presence at our local club and the urge to go race the Grand Nationals within that group, we will all be better served by attempting this revised schedule. There might possibly be a practice event at Shawano prior to the Grand Nationals and we fear our kart counts will be low if this is the case. Having another double weekend will provide practice and a great August event date is a great time of year for such an event.

KidKart Night - This Saturday! Saturday will continue our tradition of holding our popular Kid Kart night at Michiana Raceway Park! This program is intended for first-time students only - please call ahead to reserve your spot. Please call 574 288 4922 to book your reservations.

Sunday Schedule: Please note that this Sunday the track will be closed from 11 until 4 pm for an event.

Thanks to the MRP staff for bringing us another exciting double header weekend. This format works very well for us and judging from the comments from the July 4th double weekend it works out great for those travling a greater distance to only make one trip.
