JICA Class had 9 entries with 1 Birel with the majority being Tony Karts. Nick Tonkin in his Birel R31SP posted fast time in qualifying, had brain fad in the heat and spun out ( rain ), but went from last to first and walked away with the Canadian JICA Championship on a now dry but green track.
In the end with Nicks, time of 51.818 and another karter at 51.838 it was chassis set-up of his R31SP as well as his excellent driving that put him on top and as the announced said "walked away" with the win. |

Very well done and we hope you sell lots of R31's and Free line Air boxes as a result. Mike Giessen also walked away both days at Stars in Elk. Lake Wisconsin. Very big weekend for Birel as there is more to come. garry
