Default What Birel do I have?

I bought a used Birel but cannot decipher what year or model I have. The numbers off of the bearing hanger are 231702 with L3 below it. This is a cadet cart.

Default New Karter

I'm new to the karting world and need to find a place to look up Birel parts and prices. I've been all over the MRP site but can't seem to find the place that has what I'm looking for. I purchased a used Birel Kart 3 weeks ago and I need stuff to get it track ready. Plus I have a bunch of stuff that I would like to sell that came with it and I don't need or won't use ie. a B&S 5hp. Alcohol engine & carb and a small Tillett seat, but I don't have any idea what the stuff is worth or how to sell it.

In the above sections of this forum is this posting:

Available here is a complete PDF download of the Birel catalog.

We recommend that you contact your local Birel dealer to help identify your kart's proper components or contact our office at 269-756-9133 for technical questions.

I don't see how you can miss this item. In terms of the 4 cycle we do not carry those parts, but do handle all Birel parts.

I suggest you go to the www.gobirel.com site and look under "how do I"

Tailgate-

Feel free to post any used parts on ekartingnews.com or visit a local swapmeet. If you search for Bob's 4-cycle forum, I believe you would have better luck getting rid of your 4-stroke parts/engines there.

Also - as far as parts, if you let us know what you need... and what kart model - we can easily let you know what replacement parts you need. Any local dealer should be able to handle this too.

Congrats on the recent purchase!
