Default The brakes don't bight

I have a CR32SP and there does not feel like there is enough bight to the brakes. I bled them with the correct bleeder tool before running last and there is a 1.5mm gap from pads to rotors. The bias is equal back to front. Should I put in shims? Should I follow the procedure for reducing the play in the system and bring the calipers in closer to the rotors? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

How old are your pads? Is your caliper routinely cleaned? If your pad gap is too close, it could overheat the pad and glaze your rotors/pads reducing stopping power.

Closer to the rotor is not better usually. Make sure your pads/rotors are not grooved and glazed, and also that all your actuators/pins/pistons are clean and working properly.
