There was also the following mumbers on the bearing housing 010339. I'm new and gathering all the information I can so I can better undrerrstand different set-ups, do's & don't, etc.
Thanks,

The numbers are your serial number and should be recorded for documentation in case of theft.
If the designator says CQ31 it would imply the potential to add front brakes and that changes the spindle angle from a 12 degree to a ten degree.
On the www.gobirel.com site is the basic information for all of the adult sized karts. This was the model of chassis that Tim Lobaugh used in Vegas a few years back to win the first US Rotax Grand National event. There are nearly 200 Q31's throughout the country as it proved to be a valuable kart and remains so today.
I'll have to search the archives for the set up information, but normallly it is two wide spacers for the front withe the rear track set at nearly 55 inches. Proper seat install is very critical as is the style of seat used.
Good luck in your campaign.

Gary,
Thank your very much for the information. The kart did come with a set of front brakes loose and not mounted. I don't believe there is a "C" on the model mumber. Maybe the brakes are useless.
I did change to a Ribtect seat as my ribs were getting pretty sore even with a vest. My seat angle is close to 60 degrees. the original owner suggested something morelike 55 degrees, but I'm 6'1" and the 60 degrees seems to be a better overal position.
The kart is fully equiped with Freeline products and is in like new condition. Reegarding parts, assistance, ect, who is closest retailer to Denver Colorado? The kart resides at Action Karting / Shifter Kart City in Morrison Colorado.
Thanks you again very much for your help. I know this is a great chassis and averall kart, now I have alot to learn.
