Few questions about the set-up.

Front: This chassis has more flex that I am used to. I am getting about 4 degrees of negative camber from the on the stand measurement to measuring on the ground; with me in it. I am about 188 with gear on. What Camber have you guys found to work well (either rolling, or on the stand). And why?

Rear: I have heard that Chris L. likes to run this chassis at 54 inches. What have you guys found for axles? So far I have been going softer.

Bars: I am having difficulty knowing when it "wants" any of the bars in. I seem to like it better with no bars in; most of the time, but as the track begins to stick what are you guys doing with bars? If any.

If I forgot anything please feel free to included any other tips :).

What application are we taling about? What tires are you using? What area of the country are you racing and what type of events (local, regional, national)? Are you using the Freeline seat or something else?

Thanks for your time Chris.

I am running YHC's; I am in Texas and will run regionals Oklahoma, Austin, San Antonio, Katy, and we are planning on joining the Self's for a couple of the National races. Maybe in Utah, Probably Wisconsin.

The chassis was working great in San Antonio at last weeks regional. There was weather every morning so the track never got very grippy. I had: 1000 D; Two 10mm spacers on front, +1 Camber, 0 Toe (on Stand), we were shy of 54" at the rear. No Bars.

Since then I have found that the chassis Flexes more than I had thought (-4 Deg. on the ground w/ me in it, and a lot of toe movement). And I have yet to drive it on a more sticky track.

At Iron Rock (still really green) I just tried an S axle, at 53.5", long hub on one side. Two spacers one side, One and a half at the other (slight offset, Iron Rocks current track only has 3 less important right handers). No Bars and loosened seat struts. It seemed pretty good, but towards the end of the day the track was gaining more grip and I felt I needed to tighten up the chassis.

I have had D 1000, B 1040 and S 1040 axles in it, and have an F 1040 to try.

I am using a SKM 1/4 pad seat (factory Intrepid seat). I find this seat easier on my body. I can try others. I have had Tilletts, but for me they are uncomfortable.

I have access to various parts (different hubs etc.) and will try anything so don't hold back. :)

Maybe that was too many questions? How about one: When (conditions) and where (front, middle front, rear) are you guys running the bars with the R31sv? (yhc)

Thanks.

You might want to wait for the race team to get back from the WKA grands..They are still traveling and may have new informaton to discuss.
