AR1 Senior Set Up

I have a friend who wants to run our AR1 in Senior Heavy, a 4 cycle Honda class. We previously ran the kart in Junior 4 cycle with huge results, 27 races 21 wins and 26 top three for 2006. My question is he's having problems with the steering wheel hitting his knees, is there an adjustment I'm missing or do we need to run the seat wayyyy back to give his knees less bend. And if we run the seat way back will we sacrifice handling for it?
