If you are not on the mailing list then here is the news:MICHIANA RACING WEEKLY UPDATE - APRIL 25 - APRIL 30, 2006
Great things are happening now that racing season is well under way. This is one of those weeks that requires us to go back-to-back for MRP club racing so make sure you are prepared! We apologize for doing a back-to-back weekend, but in order to get our schedule in on time for the season and still allow big regional and national race programs to visit the property - it must be done! With no more than 13 classes this year, we should be able to keep on schedule and run a timely program.
Mini-Max - NEW to MRP!
This weekend will be the introduction of the mini max class. Rotax USA has granted this race to act as one of the needed four punches in order to move up the ladder for qualification to the Rotax Grands to be held at Road America. This is a great opportunity for a growing program.
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
One thing noted this past weekend, unless you get out and practice the driver and crew are not going to maximize their chances for success on track. I hope you take advantage of the 7 day a week practice opportunities at RGR or the Friday/Saturday practice sessions at MRP. In addition - Kid Kart racing is taking place every Saturday at RGR. It is free for those that have their own equipment, but you will need to purchase a pit pass. Please be sure to tell your friends and call in advance if you need directions or reservations for kid kart chassis rental. If you have questions, please call the 269-756-9133 for more information.
Bring a Friend!
It is our hope that the momentum of the new season will continue and that you bring a friend racing, even if it be for spectator racing. We are proud of our racers, the facilities and the family involvement at RGR and MRP - and we hope you share that with your friends and family. We have several opportunities to get your friend or their kids involved and share the joy! The race staff will meet early in order to assist in streamlining the "Spectar Racing" program so there is no shorterning of the laps needed to complete a full event.
SEE YOU AT THE RACES!
