We are building a TAG cart to run at a the Club level in New York State this year.
My son, the driver, is 6 feet tall 180 lbs 15 and growing. He is coming out of 125 EasyKart last season.

The chassis' under consideration are both 2005 models.
They are as follows;
R32
M32
Either kart will come with my choice of a soft axle or medium axle

It is my understanding that the M chassis is stiffer but with my sons size I am wondering which chassis you believe to be right.

Questions or thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Larry

When I asked the owner of the Birel Motorsports Race team this same question he responded: "You need one of each".

In certain conditions the M works best, in other times it is the R. In the 2005 choice the number of sales (customer votes) was 8 to 1 in favor of M.

In 2006 the R has changed and Jordon Muesser of Houston won the first Stars Tag event on an R and in very convincing fashion. Jordon is a tall driver, but with the assistance of the MRP support network, changes were made to accomodate him and produce this win.

Much of this debate will center on driving style. It is difficult to make a choice, especially 05 material without testing before you invest. We do offer that option at the MRP Race school program in Indiana.
