I am running Max Junior with Mojo D1 tyres and a Birel 2006 M31 chassis. It is our first year with mojo. We are having difficulty getting the kart into the apex with resulting oversteer on corner exit. Any recomendations will help.

I will need to information on you chassis setup to assist you. Let me know what setup your running and I can point you in the right direction.

Sounds like you need to go softer with the rear of the kart (remove middle bearing, softer axle, shorter hubs), possibly move the seat forward, more caster for sure, possibly wider with the fromt track width. THe best thing to do, as Wes requested, is to reveal as much information about the set up of the kart, changes you mihgt have tried, size of the driver, seat position, track characteristics, local conditions....don't write a novel, but the more infor mation you give us, the better.

Front: 8.5 psi cold, Standard Hubs 20mm spacers each side, 2mm toe out, castor .5 top, 1.5 bottom, turned to max. Front bumper tight, torsion bar in. Front high
Side bar out.
Back: 9.5 psi cold, Yellow axle, Standard hubs, 230mm from bearing side to outside hub face. Center bearing loose. No seat stay's. Back chassis high. Back bumper loose.

Something that contradicted what we know about setup was when we moved the seat forward the push got worse. We have been working along the line of your sugestions, what I have found is that the Kart will go from pushing into apex to pushing coming of the apex when I make just a small change. It is a real balancing act to get the sweet spot.

Nothing out of the ordinary on that info...what about seat position and type? I need a measurement from the front rail where the drivers heel would rest to the front edge of the seat left and right, top of the axle to the top of the back of the seat, bottom of the seat in relation to the bottom of the frame rails. Where do you race, ambient temps, condition of the track , size of the driver, I assmume you are running a Rotax. While watching the driver go around the track can you ever see daylight under the inside rear tire? Also, is the driver braking in a straight line and closing the steering wheel with no pedals down? If the driver picks the throttle up too soon or drags the brake pedal going in to the corner, the chassis will never have a chance to "work, " and by that I mean lift the inside tire while cornering. Hope this helps.
