Do you have an update on the number of people confirmed to run this class? Is there enough for a class yet? If there is little interest is it due to the spec requirements, clutch, etc, or the fact that most kids with the kart are near 250? Just wondering what we can do to get more kids involved? Should I be getting the kart ready for 250 lbs or 200 lbs? Where should I safely add 45 lbs of lead to run the 250 lb class and still be competitive?

Thanks

The class is a guaranteed success! It has a sponsor. Each week we add new people. One never knows how many will show up for the first race, but this is a class that I am deeply involved with and feel that we can produce a total of 60 entries over the 12 race season. They might not all be there on the first race, but this is a very popular option and one that will grow.

In terms of weight if you do move up in class: With it being a C tire, then in the Spring if it is cold, weight high on the seat and only five lbs per spot.

If it is hot then weight low on the seat. Obviously you run out of seat room. We are considering a followup chassis class this Spring due to the big demand from those who could not attend in December. If this is the case, we can discuss weight placement for all eager learners. Thanks for your support and ideas.
