I noticed that the kingpin bushing is a little different in a shifter spindle. How do you remove the bearings?

I uses a thin punch and try to hook an edge inside the spindle bearing. From there with a small metal hammer, tap it out. Once you have one of the bearings out, it is easy to go to the opposite side. Do you think that will work in your application?

I tried using a punch, but all I did was dent the rim of the bushing. I think I am going to have a buddy of mine make me a tool to push them out. It would just fit inside with the same size lip. Sort of like an axle tool.

The only way to do it without damaging anything would be with a drift as you suggested,

I made a bushing 'pusher' from a 10mm bolt with a short end section turned down to 8mm. Put it in the bushing and it does a great job of pushing out the opposite side bearing. Once out, the other side is easy.

What size are those bearings in the Monza shifter kingpin area? How much would they cost if I were to order them from a Monza/Birel dealer?

I thought I measured them correctly as 10mm inside and 25mm outside, but I forgot to write down the numbers before I threw them out. The guy I normally buy my bearings from say they don't exist.
