got my sons kart today. the #'s on the bearing flange are ....R30 X and the serial # is 050029. what can you guys tell me about it. i was told it is a 2002 r30. thats all i know. it doesn't look like it has adjustable caster but the guy told me there was something you can remove or put back in to give you a little adjustment. i'm sure i'll be asking more questions once i get to putting this thing together. thanks, danny.

There are no caster settings that come with the karts. Please remember Birels work. If the kart is straight thenyou should not have a problem Until you put it on the track and find a problem, let's not going and changing things around. The only thing you can go on is what the seller tells you I have no way of tracking the serial number for you. The R30 hasn't changed from the X version. The only that that is new will be the new style 2003 plastic. Do you have new or old style plastic?

it has the old style bread box plastic.i have a new set of unico plastic that i thought about changing to but i was told that the side nerf bars are different.
i'm not planning on changing settings yet i was just trying to get familiar with the kart before assembling it. this kart is alot different than my 4 cycle coyotes were! the first thing i'm trying to do is get familiar with it, second is to research to find out if this is the right kart for my son. third is to assemble it and then race it and try to make it faster every lap. i don't know hardly anything about 2-cycles and nothing about the birel chassis. thanks for any help, danny.

i talked to steve on friday. he says the r-30 is good for us we just need to figure out what to do about pedal extensions. i have a few things in the works for the extensions. i have the freeline pedals that are oval shaped which is causing a problem.

We have used the oval model to great success. Steve also has the pedal extenders that will fit that oval.
