Hi!

I run the R 30c y chassi in the Rotax class in Norway. We use the YGK tires. On tracks with many bends in high speed I have problems with overheathing the tires. I run the alu-rims that comes with the base-chassi, and the standard red axel. In the start of the season I drove the yamaha class with realy good results, then this was no problem. Do you prefear to use the freeline mag-rims on this chassi and in Rotax? And/ or change axel?

Thanks for all answers!

For sure the mag. wheels will help with tire temps, but, an M axle is probably a bit stiff for YGK's . I would try an F3.o with the standard length hubs. Have you tried loosening the middle bearing on the axle?
hope this helps,
chris

When I drove in the yamaha class we drove without the middle bearing. This worked good. But when we changed to Rotax we put it back in, to tighten the rear of the chassi, we also start using the front stabilsator. This we did`nt use in yamaha. In yamaha we uses the YJL tires. Maybe we changed to much from the setup that worked in yamaha? We have drove only 2 races and 1 practise with Rotax, so its completly new to us. But its a good and fun class we think so far!

thanks for answers!

try taking the bolts out the middle bearing and replacing them with zip ties. that should free up the rear enough to let the inside rear lift all the way through the corner. try that before taking the bearing all the way out. if it doesnt work then take it out but there is nothin like doin all that work only for that not the be the answer.
