View Full Version : Birel R630B?

I am looking in to buying an older Birel from a guy who claims it is a 2000 chassis. The model number on the side of the bearing mount says R630B. I have been trying to research it and find out exactly how old it is and if it is a decent chassis, but I am not having much success. Does anyone have any info or experience on this chassis and if so is it a decent one to pick up for a beginner kart. Thanks

It could have been a new chassis in 2000, there is no way for sure to know based on the numbers on the chassis. In the past we have had good success with the R30 B. Your best bet is check from the bottom up to look see the type of care given the kart. Then review king pins( for straight) and brakes to see if they are working. A further test is to inflate the tires to equal pressures, then place the kart on a flat surface and turn the steering wheel, left and right while watching the lift of each tire of the front end off the ground.
