In terms of the cr model, x was '99. however, we still have chassis that are designated x (C 28 CX, L28 X,AR 4 X) so it can be confusing to say the least.

thanks chris. i have 2 AR-4 X but i was told that 1 was a 01 and the other was an 02. my other ? is that 1 has a "horseshoe" between the gas tank mounts/bars (non quick-change tank). the other dosent. does that change the year model? and does that help detirmin <sp the year?

You have an AR 4 X with a removeable gas tank??? Does it have fixed seat struts as well?

no and no. we have to take the stearing colum <sp off to remove the tank. and the seat struts are adjustable.

sorry guys. about the horseshoe thing...i call it the "crossbar" it is the bar that runs perpindicular (+) to the driver usually under his butt/legs. the 2 post that the gas tank slides between mount to this bar. well on one kart they mount at a level angle pointing inwards then the incline for the tank. on the other kart with the "horseshoe" the tank posts mount, move forward at a level, parallel (ll) angle then incline for the tank. inside of the 2 level parts of the mount the "horseshoe" is welded. does that help?

Caleb, I am familiar with the history of your karts, the one with the "horseshoe" you refer to is a 2000 or 2001 model. If I remember correctly it is a 2001, the other one is the later model.
