Is there a diffeence between these two chassis? I would like to get a kart for the Jr 100kt class 8-10 yr olds. Driver is about 50 lbs and a little over 4 ft tall.

AR 1 disappeared about 5 years ago.. thus only used ones floating around.

The AR 28 is without a doubt our best handling kart for a light driver.

If I found a good deal on a 30mm chassis, would this work? I know it will be larger/stiffer but is this acceptable in the Jr class? What would I expect, handling wise from a 30mm with a Junior driver?

The AR 28 is the best choice for this driver. At what price is the chassis being a good deal worth the loss of performance on the track? I know dads who spends thousands in motors but forget to purchase fresh fuel. Your question reminds me of just that type of thinking. I gave you my best recommendation based on the weight you described and the knowledge of our product line. So which is it, a good deal or a responsive chassis for your application?

I"m sure we have dealers with all kinds of good deals on ar28's..
