Any suggestions for setting up a CQ32x? I am new to karting, stand 5'8" and weigh about 160 pounds. My kart has a serial number of 010289 and has a Briggs World Formula engine. Does the serial number mean it was manufactured in 2001? I would be grateful for any information.

Hi Mark,

If you check the www.birelamerica.com web site it has a section on "How do I"?

One choice is to determine the year of the chassis. The my recollection the x is for 2000.

32 stands for the tubing diameter
Q stands for the geometric design.

I will try to get a tech to give a base line set up for the initial starting point for a World Formula.

CQ32X was manufactured in 2000.

Does the kart have front brakes on it? The "C" in CQ would mean that the kart was manufactured to accept front brakes and a shift lever.

Baseline set up would be 1040x40x3-F axle, 75mm hubs set 23 cm from the bearing cassetted to the end of the hub, middle bearing either loose or out completely.

Front bar in to begin with but the CQ32 is a rigid frame and you might see better performance with the front bar out. .5 degree caster in, 2mm to out, camber between -2mm and 0, if you are running without front brakes(definitely recommended) I would have 75mm front hubs set at 1 thick and 1 thin space wide.

let me know if you have any other questions
