Hello,
I just bought a brand new RX32 chasis, and seem to be having

a few setup problems. Can anyone give me any tips with this chasis

for starters? for example: We currently have the bar in the front on, should

we take it out for this specific chasis? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

What engine format and tires are you using?

Oh Im sorry i forgot to include that. I have a CR125 Stock Honda with the harder compound Bridgestone YKB's.

The real problem that I am having is that going into the corner
as well as coming out of the corner, the kart seems to want to
"flat slide" where both the front and back are sliding. I have already put
the front bar in, but it still doesn't seem to be perfect. Is their anything
else that I can slightly adjust to get more grip?

Usually if the kart pushes (understeer) on the way in the rear will slide on the way out. For sure you want to run the front bar...whether you run the short bar or the long bar depends on how much front grip you want. The long front bar definitely gives the front more grip while the shorter front bar takes some grip from the front and adds some to the rear. Is the condition of the track fairly slippery at the moment?

The RX32 inherently has more rear grip than the other chassis (RY30, RY31, M series, etc) so you might want to try removing the side rail, moving the axle up, widening the front track width, increase the caster angle by .5 degree...if that helps add another .5 degree.

Yeah that is definatley whats happening. Currently I have the front bar in, but I'll experiment with the other bar as well. The track is somewhat slippery but in the harder/faster corners is where this issue seems to be happening at.
Ok, so nearly everything you have mentioned was already done, but
I have a practice day tomorrow so I'll get a chance to mess with the castor.
I will let you know if anything else comes up.
Thanks again,

Justin

Today was not such a good day, we spent an entire day practicing trying to find what setup works and the kart was still hopping. Currently we have the spindle spacers with the bigger spacer on top, we do not have the rear torsion bar in, we have the rear axle length at 54.5'', the sidebar is not in, the castor was set towards the longer wheel base, we raised the front ride height by putting the larger spacer on the bottom, the front straight/short bar is in, we started out on the higherside with tire pressures around 17.5 with the YKB's then down to around 10psi for the main race which still did not work.
-The entry into the corner is nearly perfect now, although mid-corner the entire kart is hopping. It seems that any adjustment we make results in the hopping when on the throttle coming out of the corners (low and high speed)
-We tried removing the rear bumper bar but it felt better with it on and tight, does it make a difference if this bar is loose but still on the kart? I think we need a basic set up that is neutral and start over as this is getting very frustrating......any advice?

try this baseline:

Seat Placement:
- measure form the front rail where the drivers heel would rest to the front lip of the seat pm the left side 58.5-59cm, right side 59.-60cm
- Top of the axle to the top of the back of the seat 23cm
- Bottom of the seat flush with the bottom of the frame rails to begin with and then you can lower it as needed. This is just a baseline starting position
- Harder tires (YGK, YDS,) would need the seat to go further back and possibly up more. I always mount two seat struts per side during assembly and then remove as needed.

-Rear track width 541/4 to 55” depending on conditions. Narrowing the rear track width will give you more grip, but, will also make the kart unstable.

-Front Track width probably one thick and one thin spacer if you are using the new spindle and truck hubs and then go out from there
-start with .5 degree of caster in (the way it came out of the box) and then instead of taking the caster out try removing the front bar to slow the front end down, or just remove the inside bolts from the clamps
- With the new steering column, you will want to have the tied rods mount to the holes that are closer to the column.

i have the same problem with the RX32. I have a 125cc TaG (Iame X30) and vega green.

I would like to have a baseline with witch axles, front hubs, toe, torsion bar, third bearing, axles position ....

Thank you for the help !
