Birel Fuel Tank Problem

Could this be a defect from Birel I own a new R32 Birel and I just went threw 2 fuel tanks in 2 races. racing in the FR125 Max class

The problem I am seeing is the fuel tank holder bolt is the pivot point of the tank and when I fill up and teh tank moves alittle to the right and left it puts too much pressure on the holder and cracks... Other problems I was getting is my battery keeps draining but I found out that the lead weight is vibrating the chassis and discharges the battery in the rear I am moving it forward and hope it works. thanks

The biggest issue is over tightening the star handle. The kart should have a plastic spacer between the flat metal attachment bar between the steering uprights and the the front of the gas tank. If that is not there, then you will always pull the brass fitting loose from the plastic tank. I think we have a photo on the web site, but if not we'll try to put up a shot to insure that everyone understands.
