Good morning, we are new to the world of karting. We have bought a used Birel Kart and need help with identification of the frame.

The numbers on the plate that the brake attaches to are layed out as follows:
830117
AT1130

Can you help us we would like to know the proper set up of this kart.

Thanks for your help!
Murray

The AT30 is a Torsion 30 kart built in 1995-1997.

What age is the driver, what motor package are you using and what tires will be run? These are important questions. Have you checked out the www.gobirel.com site for the set up information of the different chassis?

Thanks for your quick response Garry.
I have checked out the gobirel site for set up information but there is nothing specific to the AT130 chassis. Is there a similar set up to one of the ones listed?
The answers to your questions.
The driver is 24 years old approx 180 lbs. We are using a Honda GX200. The tires used at the track are MG yellow lable.

With the kart out the other night it ran good except on tight turns it was not responding to the turn but rather trying to go straight. I will be looking at front to back weight ratio as well as tire circumfrence. What else should I be looking for?
