The GLSS and MRP are getting a lot of questions re: the new rear bumper rule for 2-cycle competitors. See WKA announcement: http://www.worldkarting.com/pg/news/2008-10/mfgcup_2009.html The rule went into effect March 1. WKA is allowing the regional programs to defer enforcement of the bumper rule until afer the May Man Cup event. After that the new rule stands for the regionals as well as nationals. GLSS will permit the short bumpers at MRP April 17-19. Our tech personal will advise those with the short bumpers they have until the Man Cup race at MRP to be in compliance with the new rule. To summarize, the shorter bumpers will be permitted at the GLSS MRP event. That being said, it may make sense if you're racing with the WKA to convert over that weekend.
