Curious how many people typically race in the Rock Kart League? http://www.michianaracewaypark.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21&Itemid=42
Since I don't autocross much anymore I thought perhaps this would be some fun.

Also, is there a similar league with the 2 stroke karts? I did a kart school at MRP last summer and the 2 stroke carts were a lot more enjoyable (more power and way higher grip)

Thanks,
Jason

Jason-

Last season - we averaged over 30 at some events, split into heavy and light... they use the 9hp Rock Karts which are a challenge to drive fast.

What you might want to consider is running an arrive and drive program on a race weekend as well in either the STEP 1 (7 hp, but true racing chassis... 2 secs. faster than rock karts) or a 100cc kart. The difference is the level of competition is higher on league nights because there are more of them. I would say, if you are about competition - and speed isn't the issue, the league nights are great (I even find it a good challenge) - if you want speed, then try an arrive and drive weekend, or even lapping days in a Rotax.

Would love to see you out at the track! Thanks for the question.

Thanks Marc,

Trouble is I'm drawn to both the competition aspect of the league but also the G's from the racing chassis (I had some tasty bruises on my sides from the school) :-)

I should prob call over and chat with someone about all the options available though common sense says start with the rock karts.
