Is the above Break- In procedure the same for a MiniMax? is there anything different i should do? since i read somewhere in here that on a micromax you should leave the exhaust pipe off while in break-in,

I have never heard of leaving the exhaust pipe off! We have provided you with the best information we can. I will do some research to find out more on your observation. Thanks for sharing.

The key is the motor should always be broken in under load. One cannot break in on the kart stand like we do some of the KT 100 cc motors.

micro will not rev as high - however similar break in procedures should be used. The first couple sessions you want to keep the motor "off the pipe" - and you will know when the power delivery of the pip comes in to play.

Chuck/Garry, that is correct, that is what i saw "Off the pipe" what does it mean? thanks for your help, as you can tell this will be my first Break-In and i want to make sure i dont mess things up, thanks guys

off the pipe means out of the powerband where the expansion chamber really kicks in, but i dont know how much "pipe" those motors have.

Jonny, the term "off the pipe" does NOT mean take the exhaust pipe off the motor. However, it correlates to the RPM's when it gets into the higher range. the exhaust or motor will have a higher sound to it.(you'll understand when you hear it). Just put the motor complete on the kart and follow the break in proceedures that the experts at MRP provide and you will be fine.I'll let Garry and the MRP staff ellaborate on this more if you need it, I'm sure they will help you!:):) Glad we could help!!
