The new year is off to a great start in spite of the economy. The Daytona group with WKA had over 630 entries and that was down a very small amount from the year before.
This past weekend Bill Wrights Florida Winter tour had some "Serious Fun" with 218 drivers each day over six classes. That is impressive. The place was packed and the action was hectic, as were sales.
If you live in the West, get ready for the Gators tour starting off in Pheonix this year. It is a nice property and we have our own Team Arizona group as your tour directors and hosts in the area. Tim Lobaugh two time winner of WKA Mechanic of the year will be down to assist Andy and the group driving Birel, so let's all get your entries in early and support one of our top dealers and great guys to have fun in the ARizona sun! Tim is also there to support any Rotax racer that has jetting questions or needs more details about Rotax.
For sure Andy puts on a great show and the races are run smoothly. Wes Phillips will be on hand trying to defend his title and driving the new Birel material. We all learned a lot this past weekend with Wes working in concert with Zack Beard one of the fastest in international and the guy with the worst racing luck!
By the way, the new clutches proved to live up to their expectations. There was not performance gain, but the reliability was excellent. 30 new clutches were installed at the track this weekend.
