I currently run an R30 with an extended porch for my HPV. I am thinking of going to a Leopard next year. What chassis should I go to? I am 185 lbs and 6'1".

I would recommend going with either a Q-31 or a R-31. I would lean more towards the Q-31.

Wesley, What advantage have you seen with a Q rather that the R31 chassis.

The reason I perfer the Q over the R is that the R has the solid 4th rail and it just seems a bit stiff for me. I have seen people cut the 4th bar out and put clamps on it to make it removable like the R32 chassis. I have driven both chassis with a Rotax packages at South Bend. I liked the way the Q drove better than the R. I don't remember which one went faster on the watch, but we have had success with both chassis at the regional and national level.

if you cut the 4th bar, does it make the R31 softer than the Q31? would it then have more options for chassis adjustment? I have read in other discussions boards that the Q is stiffer than the R in general.

Does the CR31 already have the bar removealbe?
