How do you remove the axle bearing cassettes for the hangers on an R30 MTS? I used to race a PCR that had split flanges, so changing bearing was easy. These one peice delas are more difficult to figure out.

First you must slide the axle out of the kart. Take the hubs and wheels off, slide the gear carrier off, take the bolt out of the disc brake carrier, and loosen the two set screws in the outter bearings. Sometimes you might have trouble getting the disc carrier to slide so what we do is spread the disc carrier with a flat head screw driver. Pound the axle out with a rubber hammer. once axle is out then just unbolt the three bolts for the cassettes and they are out. To get the bearing out put the cassette in a vise, loosen the clamp bolt on the cassette and use an axle to move the bearning around in the cassette to get it in the position where you can get the bearing out. There are two notchs in the cassette that you must use to get the bearing in and out of the cassette.
