AR 4 chassis first appeared in the US in 1994. It was the foundation of the American special purpose built chassis by Birel. Parts are still available for this kart. Call 269 756 9133 to assist in finding you a local dealer or to request a parts book.
Also the catlog of parts should be on line at www.gobirel.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
In one of our sections we have a special three page description of our pit kit which identifies part numbers of most small bits and pieces you might want.
Under some of the sticky posts in this section we have gas tanks, information about brake parts and rebuilding and a wealth of other important information.
A simple call will help get you answers quickly to get your AR 4 fixed up and ready to race.

Thanks I plan on odering from you when i need something. About all i need now is maybe some of that chassis paint. This kart is tough as nails. I'm not sure what direction if any i will go with this kart. I have tried to locate a front brake kit for it with no luck. I have it set up as an 80 shifter now and would love to set it up as a 125.

The AR 4 would not be suitable for a 125 shifter. You need thicker tubing. If you are the same chap who called about a used front brake kit yesterday, we have a very clean CQ31 that has the complete front brake kit on it. The price is not much more than the complete front brake kit. I will try to post a photo on the used kart selection in the next 24 hours.
We have a number of these used packages that we will be posting. Thanks for your response.

Nope that wasnt me. This is were i'm sitting i have a 1998 birel AR-4 cr80 shifter, and i also have a 99 CRG heron with a out of the box tag on it. I had a tonykart extreme 125 shifter. I sold the chassis it had alot of issues but i still have the JMracing cr125 complete package. I wouldn't mind a briel 125 roller but theres a 04 gp6 roller for 1200 that looks really clean GP8 for 1600 You may have seen it theres a trackmagic 125 roller an 07 i think for 1400 on ebay. You cant beat those prices if those chassis are straight

Bench-
You are right. Your only concern would be making sure that those chassis will have the replacement parts you need a year from now. If you can't get parts after a year for your used kart - then no matter how much you save, it will be worthless. We guarantee parts availibility on the Birel as we are extremely well stocked - even for chassis from the 90's.
Best of luck on getting the 125 shifter together, no matter what you decide - we would be happy to help!
