Birel master cylinder

I am rebuilding my brake master cylinders, and was having trouble replacing the circular pin that holds the spring and plunger in place. Is there a special tool that is needed?:confused:

If you are talking about the snap ring with the 2 holes in it that goes in the end of the cyl, yes. They are called "snap ring pliers" . They have 2 pins that go in the holes in the snap ring & they either squeeze them smaller for internal rings or open them up to go over a shaft.
