I have a nephew that might join the ranks. As my kids are micros and minis and very happy with the Birel Product, what might be a good choice for him. He is 13 going on 14 and approx. 100/110 pounds, sorry he is growing by the day. He will be using Rotax as I believe this is the most crew chief friendly power plant out there. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Good to hear from you Bill. By the way a reminder to all Rotax customers... Please drain your rads and store the motors inside for the winter.

Now to your question: I received a glowing report today from Dave Harrington about their results at the big enduro event at Concept Haulers on a RX 30. It performed just as we expected for this weight category. I'd really like for Dave to give his report to share as a very proud dad who has no bias in kart choice.
The answer from my view is RX 30. Your local dealer has a special on new or used models right now!

Bill,

The RX30 is the way to go for your nephew. My son Brennan is the same weight as your nephew and the RX30 performed flawlessly for us this season in Jr. Rotax and Yamaha Jr. Supercan. He was able to break the track record in Jr. Rotax in all three track configurations at MRP this season, and we saw significant improvement in our Yamaha program when we switched to this chassis. The chassis stays free throughout the race(fastest lap on lap 81 last weekend at the enduro at Norway/Concept Haulers) and is responsive to changes. This chassis was specifically developed by Birel for the Rotax program...you won't be disappointed.

Is there a major difference between current rx30s and a 2006 R30?

Very significant.

RX 30 is the latest and most successful of the line up for juniors. Now it all boils down to your needs.

Chris will return from the factory on Thursday. He is better equiped to answer this question. However, I think Dave H. gave a very glowing report of their success this month. He was a difficult guy to convince, but once he learned the chassis, he as well as many others have found it to be an outstanding improvement.

Is there any reason to wait for the new Lineup for 2009 or will the RX30 continue to be the choice. Thanks in advance Garry. Bill

The RX 30 is a proven winner.
The 09 karts will be a premium version of this kart. WE will be testing the new kart in December just before the PRI show.

The kart will go on display for the first time at PRI. We do expect to have our PRI display available for customers to visit the Three Oaks shop in the next ten days.

Bill, Chris has posted a very dynamic report on the latest Ry30 2009 model. We feel the RX is very good, but I want to make sure you have a chance to review Chris's very dynamic report. Taylor T did a fantasic job working up through the ranks of a very competitive field all weekend long.

Danny Formal made the switch back to Birel, his home roots when he won the Mini max national Championship at MRP in 2005. His performance on track was awesome. He is 20 some pounds overweight and still a top contender. He loves his Birel!

That is the latest out of Florida and why we spend the money to host a race team.
Best regards,

Garry
