Hi i'm new here. I just bought a 99 birel kart with a KT 100 motor, i am trying to find the model and make sure the yr is what the guy said it is. The only numbers i found on the kart were on a welded plate in the front that said A-CIK31-1CA/J and TA-CIK32CA. Can anybody help me with that and i'm also looking for a starting point for a basic setup i run a three disc steel nytro wet clutch with a 11 tooth sprocket on the front and a 89 sprocket on the back with 11x5.50-6 for front tires and 11.5x8.00-6 for back tires all at 12psi can anyone help or atleast point me in the right direction.

Please check: wwwgobirel.com Are you running oval or road course? The tires are the wrong combinations if you are running road course, that is why I ask. In short to find the model number look at the left side bearing hanger for the serial number and model number. Find your local track to see what their rules and suggestions are. I'm sure if you show up at the track someone will give you local guidance that may be more hands on and faster direct input to their rules and give quick responses.

I'd also urge to do research about this question that has been posted many times before in our archives. Good luck with your new venture. If you tell me your location, we will try to hook you up with a local Birel dealer.

I am from southern nj and the track that i race at is the new new jersey motorsports park. Which is about 20 mins from where i live at. The track has just opened in june i think. So this has been its some what first year up and running. Yes it is a kart road course kart track. So should i go back to my five inch vega tires and work from there?
