The weather report this weekend looks incredible and will be a fantastic time to get in some last minute testing time! Read below for some items of interest regarding Michiana Raceway Park and some great events we have scheduled!
Track Schedule: Friday and Saturday are great times to come test. Sunday we will be closed for private groups until 4pm. Please make sure you contact us if you are interested in a few late hours after that.
Kid Kart Mania: Saturday afternoon will feature our KID KART MANIA. If you own a kid kart, come on out! Rick Hall will also have TWO openings for introductory lessons. Call us at 574-288-4922 to schedule a lesson.
2nd ANNUAL MRP TRACKSIDE EXPO (Saturday, October 18): Don't forget that our 2nd Annual Trackside Expo is Saturday, Oct. 18 and promises to be better than ever! There will be great deals to be had on karts, engines, parts and tools! MRP will also be selling off used kart stands, trailers and KT100 engine packages and liquidation rates! Don't forget to bring several friends that might be interested in getting involved in karting and we will make them a deal! NOTE: If you bring friends to the track and they purchase a kart from an MRP Club Member or MRP, they will receive a free club membership for the 2009 season!
OCTOBER 19 FUN DAY: The day after the expo, we will host a FAMILY FUN DAY! This day will be spent as a "Test & Tune" and introductory day for newcomers who wish to "Try before they buy". The end of the day will feature an informal "Fun Race" running the track in the backwards configuration. We hope you bring friends out to attend!

ROOKIE 1 IN 2009: MRP will continue to promote our Rookie 1 program using the Kt100 for 2009. We feel the stock kt with the spec settings on the WB55 A carb with a claiming rule is working very well. It proved to be our biggest class this year by the last race day with 17 drivers entered. Take advantage of great deals on these motors and kart packages from MRP Club Members at the Trackside Expo! The good ones always get snapped up in the fall.
PIT SPOTS - RESERVE NOW FOR 2009: We are now accepting pit stop reservations for 2009 as well as Garage Rentals! $50 reserves your spot for next year and locks you in to 2008 pricing. Reserve now and SAVE!
ROCK KART WORLD FINALS - October 26: That's right - the 1st Annual ROCK KART WORLD FINALS will be held at Michiana Raceway Park on October 26. It will be an all-day event that will crown the top Rock Kart Racer around!
Details are as follows:
> For ages 15 & Up (there will be split classes for Light & Heavy)
> $100 Entry Fee
> Maximum of 100 entries
> Race Format will include - practice, qualifying, 3 heat races per driver, a pre-final and a final
> GREAT PRIZES include a grand prize of a free season of arrive & drive racing at MRP (value of $1,500+). 2nd & 3rd place prizes include a Free Paid Racing League (spring, summer or fall) and a 1-Day Arrive & Drive Race Event Day.
HALLOWEEN RACE - Sunday, November 2 : The 4th Annual Halloween Race will take place on November 2 this season. Details may be found at www.mrpmotorsport.com/mrp-endurance.htm Call 574-288-4922 to sign up!
BANQUET TICKETS - BUY NOW - ONLY 50 LEFT at discounted rate! Banquet tickets are only $25 each for the first 100 and only 50 remain! We are expecting our biggest banquet turn out ever. MRP is providing a bus for the trip to Chicago Indoor Racing Addison for the December 6th departure at 3:30 and return around 10 PM Central time. The schedule could change so stay tuned. Current Schedule: It is our intent to start the informal hour at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm.
