Garry , Steve, Brent and all,
Thanks for all your help in finding and setting up Alexs' kart. He has been counting the days until this weekend. To the Zellers, don't worry as he gets more experience it will go fast again. To the folks from Chicago, thanks for your patience as new racers work to gain the experiance your children already have. Those that choose to continue on the racing path will be challenged at every level with everything from in-experiance to bad luck to pure incompetence...learning from it and getting better at working around it will grow you as a champion.
My nine year old will be out for practice and will begin competing in the Micro Max class. If he likes it Steve, we will be looking for another C28. He tried it once when he was seven at a local open house. After alot of prodding he said he would "do 1 lap only". So imagine my delight when he passed the pits and went about a second lap. When he came in I said "I told you you would have fun!", only to be deflated when he claimed "I only stayed out because I couldn't find the pit road!" Well his recovery from a broken leg earlier this spring is all but over and he is ready to try again.
Last of all I convinced my younger brother to purchase a used kart from one of your retired regulars (Jahan Assadi) so whomever is on the bottom of the totem pole in the Masters group move up one, you will have a new whipping boy.
Thanks again to all, you make it worth the drive from Brighton.
