By the way - we will be attending the Warm-Up at Shawano in a few weeks as well as the US Rotax Grands with full tech suppot program.
Here are the details: http://www.mrpmotorsport.com/community/showthread.php?t=1414
Work with your local dealer if you want to utilize our trackside support program at either of those events.

guessed wrong Chuck... People are starting to buy them here in spite of you. The only reason I even contacted you about a kart was because I respect the dealer network, fortunately I was set straight before doing so.
Angus is going to be a fine driver, make no mistake about that. He has a racing heart and simply needs to overcome a couple Moto habits. He is young enough to do that. However, I can for certain speak for the red karts being sold here. Richies second kart is the result of his success with the first one, the one you sold him. However I tend to think that the lack of Tonykart support at the track is what moved him to the second purchase. That, and the availability of trackside support for the Birel. I noticed he waited for someone else to come onboard.
After that, your influence in the area has been minimal. We have been trying to get a Birel since the end of the Moroso during FWT. It was the only chassis ahead of us in that event (FWT). Locally, meaning Barnseville and Ocala, we are able to win with the CRG, it just requires a little more effort than a local race should.
The third kart was ordered for another FWT dad, who has been pressuring Raceway Motorsports as much as I did to carry an 'easy to run' line of karts. Is the Birel going to be faster that his Fittipaldi? It was at FWT with Quinlan in the Birel and Jesse in the Fitt.
The fourth kart is going to a local racer who bought our old Zartarian (sp?) chassis and Comer (that we picked up from Casey Roderick). His son is getting faster, he's a new driver, but with Angus, Harper, Cottrel, and soon Maxwell all on much newer equipment, he wants to make sure that the equipment is not the reason for driving slower than the more experienced boys.
What it comes down to in Georgia is this.
Until Raceway Motorsports announced they were carrying the Birel line, the only dedicated trackside support available was for the CRG chassis. I beleive that trackside support is worth more than chassis color, so I bought a CRG and was very successful with it. Most everyone else ran what they could scrounge up until CRG developed a Junior Program, or Rick started to support Birel.
Other than happening to sell one Birel/Rotax package that had to spend quite a bit of time in the Raceway Motorsports shop, Arsenal Racing has nothing, if anything, to do with the growth of the Birel in this area. Look to FWT, the MRP presence at that event, and the quality of the people they worked with for the entire event.
I don't recall even seeing Junior Birel at 103rd Street Raceway in Jacksonville. Influence your home track before you take credit for Barnseville and Ocala. Feel free to leave me another profane and threatening message on my voicemail, we all get a Chuckle out of them.
Regards,
Dale

We'll be there, just finishing removing the Ocala sand from the Rotax to make room for Barnseville red clay... :D
See you in the morning,

Hi guys-
Please keep it civil. This is a public forum and I don't want to have to spend the weekend deleting posts :)

Ain't that the truth?
Thanks for letting Jesse drive the MiniMax, I think... He's all about jumping up now, but we've got some unfinished business in Micro to take care of first.
It'll be good to have you pitting with us in Ocala soon, the Mini field is pretty big there, and Chuck can come show you how to do all those Florida setups. But don't worry, if he won't help you out we can talk Rick into making the trip.

now with rick showing me what to do, i think we might get somewhere with this karting! now that jesse's been in minimax isn't it against the rules for him to drop back into micro? i might have to protest him next race. you know i want him racing with angus. working together (and with rick's help of course), they could push each other to be real fast!

shhh.... that was secret...
But now that your running a tire eating class, I'd be more than happy to 'dispose' of your 'old' D2's for you. The March FWT tires are finally giving up on us and we need a new set of old tires...
But seriously, if you can get down to Ocala for a weekend, the boys there are wicked fast in Mini. I'm not sure my little man mind could handle it. :D Plus, the two day format (three if you go practice on Friday) will help prepare you for the rigors of FWT.
We'll run Mini with you next spring, the water is dark in the deep end of the pool.

thanks chuck, i appreciate it, and if i was down near jax, i'd take you up on that! but since i'm up here in GA, i decided to learn from rick at raceway motorsports, and i have to say, it was a smart decision on my part. if i was smarter, i would have tried to hook up with him before i bought a Tonykart. rick has given us very individualized attention, and has been extremely focused on the small details to work with angus. angus appreciates the attention, and now feels like he's going to get where he wants to be with karting. angus knows the benefit of good, solid support and now thinks he's on the right track. his motivation is WAY up! i'm really glad rick and raceway came on board with the Birel line, 'cause it's put us in a really good position.
