Hello,
I just bought a new/(never been used) 2007 Birel CMX-32SV. Its my first Birel, I raced CRG for years. My question is how do you mount the seat. Never had to do it for myself. I know you use an old axle and just bend the struts but if somebody could walk me through the process that would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.

In the past we have tried to hook customers up direct with their dealer for such advice and service. They will be the ones who can assist you at the track. Let me know if you need a dealer name near you.
I'll search the archives to find past info if this doesn't work.
One question: How big is the seat you are trying to mount and is it a standard FreeLine or some other version of seat? Thanks in advance.

I would love to know of the closest dealer near me. I am 15 minutes south of Hartford CT.
Its a Med/large seat and it is a freeline.
Any help would be great, and better than I can do on my own.
Thanks again

Hi Skoal... Since you don't have a dealer really close to you.... try this tutorial.

This might help. Let us know if you have additional Questions.

Re the Med large Free Line seat: I don't think you are going to need to be bending any of the seat posts. Use spacers between the seat posts and the seat to accomplish the correct seat placement.

Garry,
Thanks for all your help.
In two weeks I will be at New castle for Stars. I might just leave early so I can stop by your shop. I would rather pay you guys to do it, than run the risk or ruining the chassis. Would that be a problem? Just call before I leave Connecticut?
Thanks again.
Regards
Alex

I hope you are able to stop by the shop. Please organize with Steve at our office to arrange your arrival. It might be that the engineers would be on the way to New Castle and no one would be home to do the install. Please give him a ring at 269 756 9133 Thanks for your support of the Birel. If you came out early, installed the seat, then we could run over to the Michiana property and do a shake down with the freshly installed seat. Just let us know.Thanks.

Garry,
I have just purchases a Tillet T11/12 as i see this as a "Birel Approved Seat" and i am trying to get some fitting measurements, do i use the same measurements at the Free Line?
Or do you have other ones?
Look forward to your reply.
Regards
Barry

Tillet has measurements on their site, but I can't remember their address. I'd like for you to call Chris in the a.m. 269 756 9133 The seat is cut differently and has different heights off the back. It is a bit tricky.
That is the best I can do for the minute.
