tab on chassis?

i asked this in my other post, so by the time you see this, you might have already answered, but in case you didn't notice my other post, can i cut a tab off? it is the tab beside the driver's seat on the left hand side. it must be for a seat strut, but if i could mount the rotax battery there, it would be good weight wise. but we're new, and i don't know if the tab is neccessary for certain situations. i'm sure it is or it wouldn't be there, but if i remove it, i can get the kart more weight balanced by mounting the battery there. pro's and con's?

That tab is for either a radiator mount or sometimes to mount the brakeline bracket there.

You can remove that if you want, we sometimes mount the battery on the rear cross bar behind the seat and there should clearance. Completely up to you.

thanks, i've got it behind the seat now, but on the side would help in balance.
