Is there any cost involved in kid kart if we have our own equipment? When it says that "Michiana Raceway Park now offers FREE KID KART RACING FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON!!!!" does that just mean on race day or does that include the 2 hour Saturday night kid kart also?

Hi Amy-
Entry fees for KID KART Sat. Nights are complimentary, you only need to purchase the pit-pass for insurance to participate. If you have your own kart, the only expense will be the pit pass and your consumables for your kart.
It is also true that entry fees are WAIVED for the Kid Kart class at Michiana Raceway Park for the entire 2008 season. All you need is a pit pass and to register - thanks to the sponsorship of Gurley-Leep Automotive Group.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info Marc. If we would want to come to MRP anytime other than Kid Kart, would we need to pay for track time?

Yes, you would pay a practice fee. You would need to call the track and speak to Brent or Rick to set the best time for practice. 574-288-4922.

Another question please - if we buy a season practice pass, is there still a pit-pass fee when we come to practice?
Marc Miller

yes, there is a pit-pass fee each time - this covers insurance for anyone in the pits. It is a requirement.

Hi Amy-
Call the track for the next available evening (as it is a "call for reservation") type of program. We must insure that we have karts available and sized correctly.
The track number is 574-288-4922, you can ask for Rick or Brent (Brent is the youth director). Thanks!
