MICHIANA RACING BULLETING - April 14, 2008
Hello Michiana Racers-
First, let me apologize for postponing our opening race weekend. It was decided that it was not worth the risk to hold an event where the weather forecast called for cold and rain. As it turns out Saturday was horrid with rain, wind and cold temps. Sunday started off poorly but the sun eventually came out and it looked pretty by the end of the day. However, most racers are looking at the weather channel and the Sunday morning picture before they make the trip to the track. The end result would have been a low turn out, a financial loss, and a high risk of frozen fingers and potentially Rotax Cylinders*.
*Rotax drivers must use caution for the next two days to make sure all water is out of the motor as temps are still expected below freezing in some area.
THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE:
>Wednesday is a private test date for a company until around 3 PM. The track will be closed.
> Friday is intended for a corporate event and plans are still being finalized. If you want to practice Friday, please call ahead to confirm availability.
> Saturday will be complicated: Practice hours are from 9 a.m. until 11:45. From 12 until 3 pm we have a large endurance event taking place. From 3 PM until 7 PM we will offer practice again. Kid Kart Night between 6 pm and 8pm.
> Sunday appears to be an open test day with nothing major scheduled.
