Hello, Question for all who might have experience with the Rock Island GP. I am planning on going this year for the first time running 2 cycle senior sportsman heavy. I have a room booked but any tips from any racers with experience there would be great. Thanks - John

John, Tim and Chris helped me out a ton last year for my first time in TAG senior.

From my own experience set up the kart for rear grip on fast corners and slippery track. I took 2 degrees castor out soft axle and high seat position. If you overdrive the track you will be slow. Straight line brake (except the right hander) and focus on exit speed and being smooth. Be ready for only one meaningful practice before quailifying. It is really fun especially if Tim is there to help out.

I had the opportunity to drive Dave Yourd's kart (R31) on a race day couple weekends ago, and all I can say is that the kart was on rails.
Dave's set-up was really good for the track and weather conditions.
