The spindles shown on your promotional pics for the AR28Z , and all the other karts shown, appear to be much longer than mine. Is there any literature available for this model, suggesting baseline setup ? Also, I am going to need to add large amount of weight to make Jr. Sportsman 250 lbs min. as my driver weighs only 50-55lbs. Where could and should this be added? I haven't weighed the kart yet , but it looks like we will be adding somewhere around 50 lbs .

for now, i'd keep the same spindles on your kart.... work with the front spacers, in and out to widen or shorten the front width, to find what you and your driver are most comfortable with.....

as for weight, mount it all on the seat... left and rear sides - evenly distribute... later, you can move weight around to tune the chassis... but for now, concentrate on learning about your new kart and spend some time testing with your driver.... testing time pays off and seat time is really the most important thing.... this kart is fast right out of the box w/o doing too much to it....

enjoy your 'z' - you've made a great investment! when ready and comfortable with the kart, invest some time in driver training.... VERY worthwhile.... then you can really start tuning the chassis....

see you at the track!

We added the longer spindles to our AR28 Z upon receiving it. Just about always used 2 spacers in the front on each side.

I put weight on the floor pan and on the seat in the area under the driver's thigh. We tried to always keep the weight as centralized as possible.

Also, place the axle in the middle slot.

This is simply what worked for us.

Thank you Jody and Jeff. Do you have a suggested width for the rear of the kart measured from outside tire to outside tire?

Also in the spring with green tracks and using the MG tires for Sportsman, is there a suggested starting point for air pressures. I really appreciate you veteran guys sharing your information on the forum with loyal Birel customers.

On the "green tracks" and cold ambient temps you want to be in the 12-13 psi range. Mid-summer we were down in the 10 psi area.

I think we usually were in the 50-51 inch wide range. But, I will check my notes to make sure.
