I have spent the last week putting the new shifter together for the 08 winter tour.

The changes to the new CR 32 are huge from the braking system to the chassie design.

What is going to be the most noticable changes in the way the chassie handles?

New site looks great.

Hi Jason.... the new '08 uses different tubing as well as the subtle changes you see in the design. The brakes should be more consistent but also a tad "grabbier" due to floating steel rotors and ceramic pads. You might need to drag them slightly as well to get heat in them for optimum outlap performance.

The tubing and design change was for slightly better balance - and some rear grip was taken out essentially to accomplish this. Not to say any less mechanical grip - only it shouldn't over-power the front of the kart under acceleration. From feedback from the Speeds, the new R is more refined.

Good luck this year!!!

We have just finished putting together our new Birel RX30-SE 2008. Man, what a cool looking Kart. We are running a Tag Leopard in the Junior Class. I believe we are the only ones to have one of these karts in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. It's very cold here, but we will be on the track soon. Thanks Chris for all your help with my questions during assembly.
Thanks,

Kart seemed to be hooked up saturday, few minor changes for sunday and we should be good to go.

I have nothing but great things to say about the new CR32 chassie.

Another good day on the new chassie.

Kart set up for the dry today was the same that we have had on the chassie since friday.

Only thing that was changed was a quick rain set up for pratice and qualif, this a.m.

I was very impressed with the way the kart reacted with just a basic rain set up. Nothing too radical.

After qualif we were back to the orginal dry set up that we used since friday afternoon. Chassie was on rails, only changes were small pressure adjusment in tires.

Only down side that I have seen is the new brake bias. still working on getting that thing to be easily adjustable on the fly. Homestead is a very busy track n a shifter kart, so that didnt help any either.

Nice job to Birel Italy on a great 2008 shifter chassie.
