Saturday's results of the 96 entries were good for Birel and MRP.
Pole: Tim Megenbeir 80 jr. on R30
Pole Colin Lynn G-1 CR32 SP
Pole Ron Joynt S-1 CR32 SP
Pole John Branham ICC CR32 SP

While Branham and Josh Schreiber started first and third in the feature, Josh stalled start and came from last to 6th and John while in a commanding lead lost an engine due to a piston cracking.

Better luck for Tim Meggenbier who just switched from Haase after a bumb year in 03. He wins his first SKUSA Pro Motto with a last lap famous end of the straight away outside pass on fellow Birel driver Morad who drove the inside line to protect his lead. It was a sweet win for Tim and Birel still wound up one two in 80 Jr.

G-1 brought Colin Lynn of Speedlab off a Tony kart and into the ranks of Birel after a four year retirement from karting. Colin dominated time trials, heat one and the feature. Very sweet!

Next up was Ron Joynt who has made a wonderful recovery from a huge accident in Austin Texas two years ago. Ron won pole and the first heat, but lurking in the field was former 80 Jr. Jordon Dick. It was a beautiful pass at the end of the huge Jacksonville straight away at 110 MPH and Jordon made it stick. He went on to strech his lead over a brused Ron Joynt who provided a commanding second place finish for another one two Birel podium.

Rain is a potential for Jacksonville today and as you all know this is racing and anything goes.

I know the West Coast guys were having great success out at their race and perhaps Dave's or Andy will fill us in soon.

MRP opens next weekend so get your practice pass forms signed and stop by to pick up your keys only available at the store. Garry Lobaugh on the wireless information center in Jacksonville Florida.
