For some of you that have had a problem with adjusting to the brakes on the newer karts. Not to say they are bad in any way, they are great but I felt they were too touchy.
This is what I did to make them better for myself.
First I tried moving the actuator lever on the master cyl. down to the next hole to lower the leverage on the master cyl. piston. This was too much and really hard to stop. Then I brought the actuator lever back up 1/2 way and drilled a new hole. This worked great and gives much better feel or control more like other karts. After testing, I cut the lever off on the bottom.
Again I love the new brakes they do not overheat and trail brake better than any other that I have tried.

This is the first I have heard of this idea. Our forum readers appreciate any new positive posts like you bring to this table. Thank you for sharing.

One thing I have learned after teaching thousands of students is a concept called "brake rape". That is that the driver attacks the brake with a sharp push of pedal. ( I'm not say this is your case)

What I prefer to do is to ease into the brake on a straight line and then give an extra gentle nudge at the last minute in order to kick out the back end of the kart. Once that rear end kicks loose, I then turn the wheel and apply the throttle.

Thank you again Jim, for your observations.
